Hope

To hope is to wish for something with the expectation of the wish being fulfilled.

Life hurts. Suffering is guaranteed. Check this out:

John 16:33- "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
(Keep in mind that Jesus is on his way to be crucified!)

So I've come to realize life on earth isn't always extremely pleasant. We all go through potholes. No one is exempt. Even Jesus said that we would all have troubles.... BUT there is good news!

Peace can be found when we immerse our reality into Jesus' reality.
Peace. Found in Christ alone.
Hold on. Take heart!
HE has overcome the WORLD!

I am constantly reminded of His power because I constantly forget His power.

Being a Christian, we are not exempt from the troubles of the world, but we do have confidence in Jesus, the overcoming SAVIOR!

Where do you turn to in trouble? When life hurts the most?

The cross. The core of the Christian journey.
Take it to the cross.

The cross is a beautiful depiction and reminder that GOD LOVES US! God allows freedom, but maintains control!
Whatever situations arise, He is still sovereign and He is still in control. Trust that.
Be encouraged by hope.

Hope.
Because life hurts sometimes.

Things I'm excited about:

-Only 10 more days of class! "I think I can, I think I can.."

-I leave for Burkina in 65 days!

-Spring break starts TOMORROW! Home for 10 days and anticipating many fun adventures!
